I initially delved into exploring various career options for my husband. As I embark on creating posts about different professions, I find myself particularly well-versed in this specific field due to exhaustive research conducted at my husband's request. These posts will delineate distinctive career pathways, accompanied by a rating scale ranging from 1 to 5 that assesses the level of difficulty to enter the field, considering the requisite effort and experience essential for success.

Information Technology is often considered one of the more accessible fields to enter without the need for a diploma. Those with a knack for technical tasks and a high school diploma can find opportunities in this field. Moreover, for individuals who prefer working independently and enjoy solitude to unwind, IT can be a suitable fit. Working from home also allows for greater autonomy, offering freedom from constant supervision. Even the most intellectually inclined individuals benefit from the occasional mental break amidst their tasks.

The most straightforward route to enter this profession is by acquiring relevant certificates. Certificates hold significant value within this field, as they indicate a commitment to self-care and taking necessary breaks from the demands of the profession.

You may have heard of IT bootcamps, but the more direct method is just studying for the certificates needed for each type of career. This focused approach allows you to dive deep into the specific skills required for your chosen field. I recommend going into the certification route as it provides a targeted and efficient way to acquire the necessary expertise.

The best job to jump into any IT position is typically a Help Desk position. These roles serve as a solid entry point for individuals looking to kickstart their career in the IT industry. To increase your chances of securing a Help Desk position, it’s highly recommended to complete both CompaTIA A+ certifications. These certifications not only enhance your knowledge and skills but also demonstrate your commitment to a career in IT. By obtaining these certifications, you give yourself the right basis for a successful IT career ahead.

After earning both CompTIA certificates, individuals will have the opportunity to explore various specialized fields within the information technology sector by obtaining additional certifications. Purchasing study materials for these certifications proves to be more cost-effective and time-saving compared to pursuing a full degree program. While a computer science degree remains a viable path, these specialized certificates offer a practical alternative for entering the industry.

Please do your own research into any of the IT fields, such as cybersecurity, networking, data science, or cloud computing. There are many, many more paths and individualized areas you could enter while also acquiring a large paycheck in return.
